Tom
Thumb was founded in September 1968. Our specially designed current facilities
were completed in September 1973 and is continually upgraded. This building provides more space than is required for preschools as stated by the New York State
Department of Health and Safety. Each classroom contains an art
area, library, block corner, large play area, housekeeping corner, a
sink, and two toilets. All classrooms also contain a
deck house. The classrooms have all been designed to provide a
warm, safe, stimulating environment in which to learn.
In each
classroom door we have installed a one way mirror so that parents
may view their children "in action" without disturbing the class.
Parents never need an appointment to observe their children.
