Before School Care starts at 6:50 A.M, for students attending Lakeland Elementary School, parents may drop off their children at the Tom Thumb building. School District will bus the children from their elementary schools to Tom Thumb. Please remember to send your “Application for Transportation” to Lakeland Central School District (available from the Transportation Department at Lakeland).
The Stay & Play Program will open at 7:50 A.M. on days when Lakeland School District has a delayed opening. For Lakeland Schools, after a one-hour delay, tuition will cost $7 per child.
After School Care till 6:00 P.M for students attending Lakeland Elementary School that are bused to the Tom Thumb Preschool building. The Stay & Play Club follows the Lakeland School District Calendar, and you may choose 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week. There is a 2-day-per-week minimum attendance required for the Stay & Play Club.
Please note that the last pick-up time is 6:00 P.M.
Our facility closes at 6:00 P.M. Please pick up your child promptly. If an emergency occurs to prevent your scheduled pickup, please call to let us know you will be late. After 6 P.M., a late pickup fee of $25 will be charged for every 15-minute interval. For example, if the parent picks up the child at 6:28 p.m., the late pickup fee will be $50. If late pickups after 6 p.m. occur more than twice, a conference with one of our Directors will be scheduled.
Parents must contact the Lakeland School District to arrange for the proper bus transportation as soon as possible. The parents must pick up the child at the Tom Thumb Preschool Building before 6:00 pm.
A special “Additional Half-Day” Program will be offered for those who may need it for scheduled half days at Lakeland School District. The “Additional Half Day” (11:30 – 2:45) program fee is $30 per day per child plus the regular after-care tuition fee. Pizza lunch will be served. There is no discount for the second child for this program
Busing is Available from Elementary Schools in the Lakeland School District
Before School Care, we ensure the children are safe and occupied while waiting for the buses and are put on the proper bus for their elementary school.
After School Care, we provide a homework table, playground, indoor gym, arts & crafts, board games, street games, game tournaments, computers, music & dancing. 10-foot TV screen for educational and entertainment videos.
