On our Tom Thumb Outing in┬áNovember of 2010, we visited the┬áChurch of the North American Martyrs. It was┬ábuilt like an Iroquois long house, with a barrel-shaped ceiling and false-face masks staring outward to ward off evil spirits. The building’s architecture and artifacts were interesting and┬áallowed the childern to experience first hand┬áour local ┬ánative American Indian influence in the area and a little bit of history at the same time.
Our thanks to the Pastor  of Columbanus Church for allowing Tom Thumb students to visit this historic building for over 40 years.
