New Senior 2-Day Program

We focused on “Kindergarten Readiness” for  4 years olds.

New Senior 2-Day Program (Mondays & Wednesdays)

Our new Senior 2-Day for the 2025 – 2026 Academic Year was created in response to those parents asking for it. This program is exclusively for children turning 4 years old. As a new program, it’s priced as a special promotion.

When: Senior 2 -Day Program is on Mondays and Wednesdays
Cost: Dismissal 2:15 pm – Monthly Tuition $386
           Dismissal 3:15 pm – Monthly Tuition $440

The goal of this program is to identify and nurture children’s strengths, boost their confidence and develop the social and emotional skills needed for “School Success”. Tom Thumb is a firm believer in “The Power of Play” as the cornerstone philosophy of our school. We offer a variety of activities, allowing children to choose playmates and engage in free play, while also providing access to our gym and playgrounds. Specialists enhance our curriculum with subjects like music, art, drumming and science, ensuring an enriching experience. This program offers Phys-ed Classes with Coach Marco on Mondays and Music Classes with Miss Claudia on Wednesdays.

For specific program details, please call us if you have questions. We also provide Before and After School Care for enrolled students, with specific hours to assist working parents. During delayed openings, we adjust our schedule accordingly, and in case of weather-related early closures, we prioritize parent notifications. For a comprehensive understanding of this program, we suggest scheduling a visit to Tom Thumb for a guided tour and discussion about your child’s education.

We recommend making an appointment to set up a confidential meeting with our school Directors, Nancy or Lisa. You and your child may take a guided tour to see our classrooms, gym and playgrounds. We discuss your child’s education and answer all your questions. A Virtual Tour is available to see our students in action.

“Catch Us If You Can” Summer Camp begins June 30 through August 15

Our Summer Camp is at the Tom Thumb Campus from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Before-and-After Camp Care is available for campers’ early arrival at 8 a.m. and late pick-up at 5 p.m.

Meet Amanda, a Tom Thumb Student

Here is a note from Amanda, in which she thanks Tom Thumb for the wonderful times of dance and learning, and she says Tom Thumb will always remain special to her that taught her about dance. This post includes a picture of Amanda as a Tom Thumb student and another as a high school graduate.

Amanda’s note illustrates Tom Thumb’s Philosophy from day one when we opened our doors as a private preschool, “It is the responsibility of this generation to pass on to the next those things which it has found to be of value. We are dedicated to improving the next generation of great Americans.”

As you may remember, we received a letter from Walter Panas High School Principal, Joseph M. Spero, thanking Nancy Brophy for the Scholarship given to a senior during the Senior Awards Ceremony. Nancy Brophy instituted the Tom Thumb Memorial  Scholarship to honor her grandson Zachary Brophy’s memory. This Scholarship focuses on our philosophy: “It is the responsibility of this generation to pass on to the next those things which it has found to be of value.” 

We received a thank you letter from the Panas High School mother of a student awarded the Tom Thumb Memorial Scholarship. This is great because the student Anna D, who won the Scholarship, has long-standing aspirations to become a teacher. Anna’s pursuit of education perfectly aligns with our philosophy, as stated above. After Anna graduates from Penn State, she will contribute to Tom Thumb’s overarching mission of developing individuals to their full potential. Anna will fulfill Tom Thumb’s philosophy as a teacher to improve the next generation of great Americans.

Anna D is the Panas High School Senior who won the Scholarship.

During her four years at Walter Panas, she has worked at Club Fit summer
camp, Pizzazzies and did a six month student teaching internship at Lincoln Titus
Elementary School. Anna has wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember,

ThumNastics Takes After-School Care to the Next Level

ThumNastic is only for our Tom Thumb students. This program was specially developed for our students to participate in early-age gymnastic classes at Dynamic Gymnastics and is age-appropriate for both our juniors and seniors. Dynamic Gymnastics is a top-notch gymnastic academy located on the Tom Thumb Camp. For over ten years, Dynamic Gymnastics has worked with Tom Thumb to create a unique gymnastics program customized for our students using experienced and expert coaching. Tom Thumbers are safely escorted to their gymnastics class after their preschool day ends.

Fall ThumNastics Program

Students who are dismissed from Tom Thumb at 2:15 p.m. may stay and enjoy and participate in our Enrichment Program. They will then be escorted to their gymnastic class at 3:00 p.m. and will be available for pick-up at 3:50 p.m. at the Dynamic building.

Students who attend our Full Day session (3:15 pm dismissal), will be escorted to their gymnastic class at 3:00 pm and be available for pick-up at 3:50 pm at the Dynamic building.

 

Pick-up is at Dynamic Gymnastics or Tom Thumb

ThumNastics students are either picked up at 3:50 pm at the Dynamic building or are escorted back to Tom Thumb for our After School Care Program for picked up. If your child attends our ThumNastic Classes, Tom Thumb after-school care will be available at 4:00 pm at the Tom Thumb building. Please call our office for more information.

Any student not picked up by 4:00 p.m. from Dynamic Gymnastics will be safely escorted back to Tom Thumb to participate in the Tom Thumb After-School Care Program. Please note that the tuition for ThumNastics doesn’t include after-school care that requires pick-up before or at 5:30 p.m.

ThumNastic Program Offers:

  • Tuesday ThumNastics is for our:
    • 5-Day program
    • Tuesday-Thursday-Friday preschool sessions
    • Tuesday-Thursday preschool sessions
  • Wednesday ThumNastics is for our
    • Monday-Wednesday-Friday preschool sessions

 

ThumNastics Tuition

The tuition is $340 for 17 classes, with two payments of $170 that are due at registration and the final payment in November

  • Tuesday ThumNastics starts in September 17, 2024 and ends in January 28, 2025
  • Wednesday ThumNastics begins in September 18, 2024 and ends in January 29, 2025

There is no Dynamic Gymnastic registration fee for ThumNastics students. Make your checks payable to Tom Thumb Preschool.
