thank you note to tom thumb preschoolDear Ms. Brophy,
I cannot thank you enough as a parent in the type of care, love, dedication and education you and your staff give to the community. Tom Thumb superseded my expectations on what a school setting should be like. Leila has grown so much in the short time she has been in your care and her ability to learn so much is very impressive. I believe that people like you and the dedicated staff is what every school should be like.

Your smiling faces, happy atmosphere, and enthusiasm showed every single day in my child. Leila is well prepared for kindergarten and we are forever grateful for the experience our have created for my family. Tom Thumb will always have a place in our heart and memories. Your school is the best because of everyone who works here. May you and your Tom Thumb family continue to thrive and give their unconditional love to all of the children.

Love, Leila, Michael and Shelly V.

Cullen Malzo 2001 Tom Thumb Preschool Graduate

Cullen Malzo, Tom Thumb Graduate

Cullen Malzo, a 2001 graduate of Tom Thumb, is nothing short of a hero. After two teenage girls from Mahopac were involved in a car accident on Thursday, November 10, 2016, Cullen sprung into action. The accident left them trapped in their car, upside down in Lake Mahopac.

Cullen to the Rescue

Police said that 19-year-old Cullen Malzo was nearby when he heard the crash. He dialed 911 and ran to the scene. Without hesitation, Cullen ran into the murky water and quickly pulled the girls out of an open window. Thankfully, the girls only suffered minor injuries.

We Salute Cullen Our Local Hero

Cullen Malzo is just that kind of person; compassionate, confident and fearless. From a very young age, Cullen has exhibited these characteristics and his actions are nothing less than heroic. Our community is very proud of him. We all have such confidence and pride in our Next Generation of Great Americans, where Cullen Malzo is a remarkable example.

Just Thanks

Dear Nancy and all of the Tom Thumb Staff,

I wanted to just take the time to say thank you so much for the wonderful summer you gave to our daughter Alejandra. Nancy, although we could not afford at the moment to take Ali out of her current daycare to move her to you for the fall, you were nice enough to allow her to come just for the summer to give her a change of pace.

Ali loved camp so much, and I was so impressed with the caliber of the counselors I met.

The fact that you were willing to reimburse us for the days my daughter stayed home with my inlaws who were visiting from Mexico was incredible. I know that this is unusual and we so appreciated it. So often (like in my line of work) people only ever take time out to complain or bring issues. I really wanted to take a moment to just say thank you for all you did.

We greatly look forward to moving both of our children over to you as soon as my youngest is old enough.

Enjoy the rest of the week, and have a nice school year.

Warmly,

Jenn
